Take a tour of Lac à la Peinture with friends aboard one of our canoes, pedal boats, kayaks or rowboats. The lake is quiet, there are practically no neighbors. It belongs to you. Enjoy it!

Fishing

From the shore or from a boat, fishing remains a “must” of a stay on the lake. Lac à la Peinture is ideal for recreational fishing, introducing children to fishing or relaxing at the end of the day with a fishing rod in hand. Our lake is home to bass and pike.

Bring your rods and fishing licenses! Ground glasses on sale at the reception. The lake is quiet, there are virtually no neighbors; it is yours. Enjoy it!

Bicycle on the “p’tit train du nord

The 232 km trail follows an old railroad track between Bois-des-Filion and Mont-Laurier: it is the longest linear park in Canada. Along the way, visit our lively towns and villages and discover heritage train stations, numerous restaurants and a host of cultural activities, art galleries and boutiques with unparalleled cachet.

Descent of the red river

Painted Lake is located near the Red River. This long river is known for its canoeing and kayaking and its many beaches. Ask the owner of Station des Mélèzes to drive you to Descente de la Rouge which is only a few minutes away. It will be possible to rent boats for a few hours or a whole day. We’ll pick you up when you’re done cruising the Red River at your own pace.

Berry picking

Blackberries, blueberries and wild raspberries. The Quebec forest is full of wild berries that often pass under the gaze of hikers. Bring your bucket for breakfast the next day or eat it on the spot.

Young or old, you’ll be licking your lips!

Hiking

Why not take a nice walk in the woods between two swims? Ideal to discover the local flora and fauna and to work up an appetite!
